The Bohman Gang will soon be four!

That's right...this little lady's due date is October 5, but the docs at good ole' Walter Reed feel it necessary that I come in for an induction on Wednesday, October 2. So, we will probably have another bundle of joyness on Thursday, October 3 (I'm going in on Wednesday night). I'll explain in more detail:

Friday, I went in for my 39 week appt. They said, "ooh, looks like  your blood pressure is high again." This was the second time cause the week before it was also high. But, I really really think it was more to do with Lily freaking out on me on both occasions before each appointment than anything else. I mean, I had to rush to change her diaper, put her clothes back on, and then carry her all the way through the hospital (it's big) and  book it the entire time...they cancel your appointment if you don't show up 15 mins prior. I was 5 mins late and thought surely it would be canceled, but I guess they saw me huffing and puffing and how red in the face I was...oh, and that my toddler was running around and looking at the paintings on the wall saying, "Wow," at each one, so they had pity on me. I told the nurse when I got in that my blood pressure was probably high...sure enough it was really high. So, they came back about 15 mins later and it was still a little high, Blast! They then sent me up to Labor and Delivery when I was strapped in for 2 hours so they could monitor me and the baby. My blood pressure went down and the baby looked fine, but protein came back in my urine so I had to take home the 24-hour urine collection. FYI, try to avoid the possibility of having to take this test at all possible--not very fun. To make this story short, I turned it back in on Sunday morn...they kept me strapped in again (very thorough, these people) and 2 hours later say, "How about getting induced on Wednesday?" Pretty sudden since they had just told me I would be monitored twice a week until my due date then they would talk about other avenues. They did diagnose me with gestational hypertension and said that they came to the conclusion of induction because they didn't want it to turn into Preeclampsia. I agree, that's not a good thing to have. I guess it is a blessing because I really didn't think she was going to come on her due date anyway, and Daniel has finals all next week...then he leaves for 9 days on the 16. I'm a little nervous about the whole thing, but I know that I just need to trust in the Lord and have faith that it'll all work for the best. But, in the end, we are going to be a family of four by the end of the week! So excited to meet our daughter.

Lily is excited too. I'll tell her that she is going to get to meet her baby sister this week and she says, "baby" and pats my belly. So cute. I love her! I can't wait for those two to grow up together. :)
