"It is done, Frodo."

Ok, so Gandalf actually doesn't say that, but he does say, "It is time, Frodo," and I had to create a silly title for the post. :)

I thought it would be appropriate to update the blog since I was waiting on Daniel to come out of Lily's room after putting her to bed, but I think he fell asleep with her. It must be a thing today, cause I did the same thing for nap time. That girl is a good cuddler.

Well, we finally did it! We graduated from college. It was a very surreal day, and it didn't really hit me until the very end. I had finished my last assignments on Thursday and the atmosphere on campus was so exciting. I even won a T-shirt at Grad Fest! Lily ate a lot of sugary cakes and got a balloon tied to her leg; can't blame her. Friday came and Lily had decided she wanted to be a little cranky pants....yep, always happens. But, by the time we went to Chuck-O-Rama for our linner (3:30pm), she was happy again. Unfortunately, she decided to be a typical toddler at Commencement and run around and climb everywhere (that started at 6:00pm). Needless to say, we weren't really enjoying it ( I was kinda bumbed that I wasn't walking with the other grads for the processional. I got over it, and since Lily was tired and restless, we left early. Good thing cause Lily needed to eat something for dinner before bed. We forgot to plan that since we had such a bit linner, but we knew eating at 3:30 for her wouldn't last all night. We gave her a quick little meal...more like a snack, put her to bed, babysitters came, and then we headed off to Convocation (7:30pm). Once we got there, it was all starting to sink in; however, there was one thing we noticed that we forgot to get...our tassels! We were the only grads in the Language and Letters Dept. without them. They were 8 bucks though, so I'm glad we forgot to get them. That's like a meal and a shake at Chick-Fil-A! We saw some of our favorite professors and chatted before it started. It was so great to see them. When everything started, we heard some "interesting" talks from some of the cum lade students.... We also heard a creative writing from a regular student about her first time in Mexico. It was actually really good. Way to go English majors! The Dean's talk was exceptional; it was about trials and adversities in our lives. He related the story of Squanto and his back-story. I had no idea the things he went through. You should look it up, it's quite fascinating. The Church Education Commissioner also spoke briefly and then the passing of the "diploma covers" commenced. We were seated on the first row so we were got those babies pretty quickly. It all ended with a GroPro video by Daniel and then home to our sleeping baby...who woke up at 12:30 screaming her lungs out. Ah, to be a graduate!

In other news, Easter was great! Lily got to go to an Easter egg hunt, but by the time we got there (5 mins after it started) all the eggs were gone. :( I was more upset than anybody. Lily didn't care, so she nabbed a few opened plastic ones. We had balsamic moose roast on Sunday with a friend and that's about it. Lily wore a cute tutu for the egg hunt.
Little-baby-in-belly is doing well. Still pretty tired this time around. Now that I have more time on my hands I want to nap when Lily does, but there are still so many things I should do. I've made a commitment to go to the temple whenever Lily is napping, so I will see how things play out. I've only got a month and then we're outta here and I'm going to soon play solo parent for July. Things are chugging along.
We took some pictures earlier in the day with the little one.

The football hold.

This picture says a lot about us.

One of our favorite paintings by Carl Bloch. The I-center is filled with them.

Mom and baby! We did it!

Easter and the empty egg.

First time in a swimming pool. It's sad, but we've been in cold-weather climates for most of her little life.

Daniel, Lily and the GoPro.

Easter Sunday

She likes to pull her diaper down like this.

At the pool, the only way to keep her in and not say, "UP" a bazillion times is get her around the balls.

The grads!

Remember how I said she likes cheese? Well, it is assorted varieties; this week's special is strawberry cream cheese.

I always tell her if she can open it, then she can have it. I probably should stop telling her that.

Lily not interested in the sock monkey or the camera but the people and the cakes!
