Ok, family and friends, my excuses mean nothing when you have no idea what is going on in the lives of the Bohman's in Rexburg, right? So, I will not bore you with them.
Honestly, though January went by way too fast. Daniel and I both started up another semester...Our LAST semester! I decided to not go on the Marine Bio expedition in May. It would have been a great opportunity, but all the praying, and looking at my sweet husband and baby, I just felt like I needed to stay home. As soon as I made the decision I decided to go in and talk to the graduation peeps about my classes. They informed me that the catalog had changed for English majors and that I was no longer required to have a "declared" minor. That meant the Chemistry class I took last year that kicked by butt was all in vain...geesh. But, it also meant that I only needed to take two more classes to graduate! Voila! I'm going to graduate in April. To make it even sweeter, Daniel is also graduating this semester and we both are taking two classes. The load is lighter and the classes are actually kinda fun. Good way to close up that college education I think.
I am really happy for the way things are working out. I really had a hard time figuring out what to do, but in the end, I think the Lord left the decision up to me and knew I would make the best one. I think everything else is falling into place because I was willing to listen.
That reminds me...we are going to move to Maryland in June, and start the next chapter of teamdash there while Daniel goes to med school and I get to finally have a larger home (even though it's a rental--ok, technically, we stayed in a 4,600 sq ft home in Kenai for 5 months and that was the largest probably I'll ever get, but you get the picture). Ah, bliss. So, that means, whoever wants to come visit is more than welcome to. Plus, we get to see the Bohmans in Virginia before they travel to the other side of the world and we don't see them for another 2 or more years! Family! Oh, and I get to be semi-close to one of my dear friends in Boston. I love Boston.
Ok, that's enough ramble, what about Lily?
She brings so much joy into our family; words really can't express them. There have been so many instances that I wish I could keep them in my memory forever and recall them whenever I wanted to...sounds like a blog or journal to me. ;) Anyways, she is learning so much and has a vivacious spirit. She is named after her Great-great-great aunt Lillian and I believe she must have Aunt Lillian's spunky personality. When we were in Alabama, my dad told me a story about how Aunt Lillian was in a supermarket and noticed a man stealing something, so she promptly went over to the man, knocked it out of his hand and said something along the lines of, "Boy, why are you stealing that?" Haha, very assertive that woman. I'm glad Our Lillian carries her name.
Lily is has a pretty good vocabulary. She loves, I mean is obsessed, with dogs. Every time she sees a dog, she'll say, "Arff" and she'll say "dog" too, but it's mostly just "Arf." She says cats, and she will stalk the family's cat in Utah. She says more, again, water, book, read, nurse, up, down, dance (which means music), yes, no, thank you, please. Now, of course Daniel and I mostly understand what she means; some of her articulation still needs some work. She is actually calling me "Ma Ma" now which I'm really grateful for. Thanks to her creepy doll that says "Ma, Ma, Ma." Lily has no boundaries. She loves going right up to people and staring at them. She really is an actress; she'll be at church and run around the hallway and smile those cheesy smiles at strangers and say, "Hi." She was saying "Hi" back to another baby this past Sunday in Testimony meeting. It was quite funny to hear "Hi," "Hi" over the silence. :)
All-in-all, January has shaped up to be a great month and February looks to be promising....I mean it will be my birthday soon and I wont be turning 28.
